PT3: 4472 'Flying Scotsman'

The LNER A3 Pacific locomotive No. 4472 'Flying Scotsman' was built in 1923 for the London and North Eastern Railroad, and was frequently used for its namesake service, the Flying Scotsman, between London and Edinburgh. In 1934, it became the first steam locomotive to be officially recorded at 100 mph. It remains operational to this day, having traveled over 2,000,000 miles in the course of its life.
